Today is the Day!

(Loud cheers) I did it! My page is launched. Woohoo! It has been a very long road, but I made it. It needs work, product, and a lot more energy and time invested - but it is here - and I did it all myself.

If you don't know the story I "won" a website build earlier this year - full customization, a year of hosting, the works. My vendor worked with me for months, adding photos, changing details, back and forth conversations. Then one day I received a message that life was going to prohibit the final launch. I was devastated. I can only imagine how my vendor felt. They made it clear they never had bailed on someone before and felt terrible for doing it now. I felt overwhelmed and lost as to how to proceed. I held out hope for about two months that suddenly life would change directions and the site would be launched. But, that day never came.

I began researching options. I looked at numerous hosting sites, page designs, businesses and felt overwhelmed mostly. I really wanted it to be (relatively) simple for me - heck I was even willing to pay - alas the vendor i would have chosen if money was no object was in excess of 5k.

The search continued and finally I decided on Shopify. It offers me the ability to do all my sales from craft shows to on-line internal to the site. Once I get my card reader gone will be the days of multiple payment methods - records to track here, there and everywhere and a relative sense of confusion on my part.

So, please bear with me. I have only a few products here, but I assure you my offerings are far greater - I just haven't taken the time to load them all. I will continue to add product, make changes and polish all the details as time goes on. Stick around and watch me grow - it will be worth it, promise.
